Covid-19 and Our Commitment to You

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. During this time, I wanted to reach out and update you on how we’re approaching the situation at Go FOTO Yourself New England.

First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who’s been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we’re truly inspired by the selfless workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need.

Second, at Go FOTO Yourself New England, we’re focused on the health and safety of our clients, our employees and our communities.

We have always had a strong commitment to client satisfaction and also guest safety. We sanitize our props several times an hour while the event is ongoing to ensure the health and welfare of all our clients and guests. We had a few events as the Covid-19 virus started and we assigned one extra person to stay at the props table to sanitize after each use. Our company was founded on core values — trust, client satisfaction, innovation, and equality — and our values are unwavering and continue to guide everything we do.

During this time, we are supporting our communities across the region through donations to support our local communities where we live and work. We have donated thousands of dollars worth of food to help families and school children who have been effected by this virus. We have also donated food and gifts to local first responders, nurses and other essential workers. We started a “Neighbors Helping Neighbors – Do a Good Deed Everyday” program where we are out helping the communities. If you don’t already “like” our Facebook page, check it out and see all the great things going on in the community.

We have also been updating a lot of our equipment, training on new equipment and making sure that as soon as we can, we will be ready to attend every event.

The first week that Covid-19 was announced in the US we made a major announcement. We were the first wedding and event service to suspend our normal refund policy and offer a full refund to any couple who had to cancel their wedding or postpone it due to the Covid 19 emergency. It was the right thing to do. We cannot imagine the pain of cancelling your special day and we have worked with over 2 dozen couples in the first 6 weeks so far that we had to move their weddings or issue full refunds. We are committed to help every single client that we can.

We will be your partner through this and be by your side. We have been reaching out to couples to try to see where we can help. If there is anything we can do to help you during this time, please reach out to us.

Do A Good Deed Everyday

Neighbors Helping Neighbors During the Covid Emergency

During this scary and unprecedented time, we are going to find something each day to help make this scary time a little less scary. If you have ideas for us to help with various things, leave us a message, send a message or email us! We will continue to do this as long as we can!

If everyone did one little deed a day to help someone, this world would be a better place for everyone! We understand that people are getting laid off, wait staff is out of work in a lot of places, kids now are home 24/7 and eating at home 3 times a day. We have been so fortunate with our business to set aside money each month to help community non-profits and this month we are focusing on helping our communities through this program.

Since we started this program in early March, we have been doing good deeds to help our neighbors and communities in need. So far, we have done the following:

  • Purchased and donated over $2,500 worth of groceries to help local families and local school children who are now home and not able to get a free lunch at school.
  • Delivered hundreds of bags of food for End 68 Hours of Hunger to various drop off locations to ensure school children have food. Each bag has pastas, cereal, snacks, peanut butter/jelly and more.
  • Made weekly runs to the dump for families who are quarantined at home and unable to get their trash to the transfer station.
  • Donated coffee, food and complete dinners to local fire, rescue, police and dispatchers to thank them for their work on the front lines of this emergency. This includes special lobster dinners for several area first responder families for Easter. Bought several dinners from local businesses to help them during this serious economic time for them to donate to first responders and nurses.
  • Donated and delivered over 100 articles of clothing to local families who needed clothing assistance.
  • Delivered groceries to over 100 families who were unable to get to the grocery stores.
  • Offered free “Porch Raits” which were family pictures of families quarantined. We stayed back and took pictures of the families on their porches.
  • We heard from a family in Portland whose daughter turned one on Monday and they were unable to get her a cake or go out due to medical and financial concerns. We got a cake, a balloon, some gifts and a bunch of groceries to help this family as they are sheltered in their house on their daughters 1st birthday.
  • Cleaned miles of the sides of roadways in many communities of trash and litter. Collected over $75 worth of returnable cans and donated that money to help local families.

If everyone did small acts of kindness during this scary time, can you imagine how much brighter our world would be!
