Exciting News! January 10, 2022!

Laura’s Legacy of Love announces Go FOTO Yourself New England Re-Opening!!

It is with great pleasure that today we announce some exciting news. This has been in the works for over a year and has been a family decision! As many of you know, Laura and I ran a very successful Photography and Photo Booth business. We won several prestigious awards each year we were open, including 2018 Small Business of the Year, 2019 and 2020 Best of Weddings and Couples Choice Awards and more! We loved capturing over a 100 weddings a year. When Laura passed in February 2021, we had to cancel 154 weddings we had on the books for photography and/or photobooth work. This was a hard decision to make, but we had to do it. Laura was so passionate about capturing lifetime memories and we had so much fun being part of peoples special days. With that being said, we are proud to announce that we will be reopening Go FOTO Yourself New England for the Magic Mirror Photo Booth! We will also do family pictures, pet portraits, baby pictures and holiday pictures like we did before. Eventually, we will be adding full event photography back as well. We have aligned some talented staff to help run this and we will ensure to continue Laura’s Legacy and passion for photography.

Second, our family had discussed opening a shaved ice truck business for 2 years. We fell in love with the idea after having it attend several of the kids birthday parties. Well, over the last year, we negotiated purchasing the Maine franchise for Kona Ice. The kids have been so excited and wanted to do this as a family thing and to be together. We will be booking new events starting in April 2022 after the trucks are built and we have had all the training. We picked Kona as they have the best business module and have given back over 62 million dollars to area communities and non-profits, which was huge to Laura. We are excited, as a family, to bring this to birthday parties, festivals and events in 2022.

I want to thank everyone for their support over the past year. These businesses are being opened under the new Laura’s Legacy of Love, and portions of all sales will be donated to the non-profit Laura’s Legacy of Love to help within our communities. We are working on updating our Website at www.lauraslegacyoflove.com , www.gofotoyourselfnewengland.com and our Facebook pages, www.facebook.com/GoFOTOYourselfNewEngland , www.facebook.com/lauraslegacyoflove and www.facebook.com/Kona_Ice_of_York_County.

We look forward to seeing you all soon!

Katherine and Corey’s Wedding October 24, 2020-Plymouth, NH

What a beautiful evening for an amazing couple!  We were so honored to be part of a very special night for Katherine and Corey plus all their friends and family! Every detail of the wedding was so well planned out and executed.

It was our first time attending an event at the Barn on the Pemi, in Plymouth, NH . It was such a beautiful venue. The staff there were so friendly and amazing and everything turned out picture perfect! We thank all their staff for making us feel at home! Such a beautiful venue with lots of great space, plenty of space to social distance! They also provided the catering and it was phenomenal! For our couples still looking for a beautiful spot in NH, this is a must check out! One of the prettiest views!

The night was perfect! We were honored to provide the Magic Mirror Me Photo Booth. The photo booth stayed busy all night with lines, but we quickly got everyone through and everyone seemed to have a great time! We followed all guidelines with Covid-19 with hand sanitizer and every single prop used was disinfected before it was placed back for further use. Remember, washy washy before entering the photo booth area! Thank you all for your understanding with all our safety rules!

The couple had All Aboard Event Planning for their wedding coordination. They were great to work with, got us all the info ahead of time, and made sure we were all set as soon as we arrived and set up. Many of our couples have asked us for recommendations for coordinators, these guys are exceptional. They also share a lot of the same values, we offer discounts to all teachers, nurses, first responders, military, etc. They also offer similar discounts, check them out! We also both donate portions of each event to non-profits, it’s great to work with other vendors who try to do so much to help their communities!

We thank Katherine and Corey for entrusting us to be part of your special day. We had so much fun and wish you the very best!

We have uploaded all the pictures, these are the raw and unedited photos. We will then edit them and place them in an online album for the couple. We add them online for the wedding couple and friends and family to see so in case someone couldn’t make it, or the couple wanted to see all the action, they could see it while we work on final edits. The couple had a wonderful photographer, so we just captured a few candid shots and ran the photo booth! Please tag your friends in the photos so they can see them! Feel free to share the album and please make sure to like our page!  We were thrilled to be there with them to celebrate an awesome wedding! Thank you for entrusting us to help capture some of your special memories of a beautiful day!

We are a small, family run company that is trying to spread the word about the new, fun Magic Mirror Me Photo Booth and also our full photography services! The best gift you could give us would be to “like” our Facebook page and recommend us under the reviews on Facebook. We are a lot different than a lot of photo booths and/or event photographers and trying to spread the word!

Thanks again for an amazing evening!

Deedra and Steven’s Wedding- 8/15/2020

Good Evening!

What a beautiful evening for an amazing couple!  We were so honored to be part of a very special night for Deedra and Steven plus all their friends and family! Every detail of the wedding was so well planned out and executed.

It was our first time attending an event at Puddledock Gathering Post . It was such a beautiful venue. The staff there were so friendly and amazing and everything turned out picture perfect! We thank Jake, Kelsi and their staff for making us feel at home! Such a beautiful venue with lots of great space, plenty of space to social distance! The venue is on a beautiful 100+ acre farm and has been completely renovated, including the farmhouse used by the wedding party. Every detail was so beautiful!

We were treated to an amazing BBQ provided by Perley’s Catering of St. Albans. Cathy and Perley were amazing to work with and the food was out of this world! Super fresh and a great family BBQ vendor!

It was such a fun night and we really enjoyed meeting all the family and friends of Deedra and Steven. The DJ did a great job keeping the party going right until the very end!

We thank Deedra and Steven for entrusting us to be part of your special day. We had so much fun and wish you the very best!

We have uploaded about 550 pictures, these are the raw and unedited photos. We will then edit them and place them in an online album for the couple. We add them online for the wedding couple and friends and family to see so in case someone couldn’t make it, or the couple wanted to see all the action, they could see it while we work on final edits.Tonight we tried new software that allowed us to upload from the venue 80 pictures at a time so guests who couldnt make it could view pictures pretty much as they happened! All the photos were uploaded within an hour of the end of the wedding. Please tag your friends in the photos so they can see them! Feel free to share the album and please make sure to like our page!  We were thrilled to be there with them to celebrate an awesome wedding! Thank you for entrusting us to help capture some of your special memories of a beautiful day!

Thanks again for an amazing evening!

Do A Good Deed Everyday! Free Porchraits Program Starts!

During this scary and unprecedented time, we are going to find something each day to help make this scary time a little less scary. If you have ideas for us to help with various things, leave us a message, send a message or email us! We will continue to do this as long as we can!

If everyone did one little deed a day to help someone, this world would be a better place for everyone! We understand that people are getting laid off, wait staff is out of work in a lot of places, kids now are home 24/7 and eating at home 3 times a day. We have been so fortunate with our business to set aside money each month to help community non-profits and this month we are focusing on helping our communities through this program.

During the first week, we purchased over $1,000 worth of groceries that we donated to over 2 dozen families in Southern Maine, NH and Mass. We held a roadside clean-up and cleaned the sides of roads with several bags of trash removed. We bought over $300 worth of groceries to donate to children in Somersworth and Dover, NH to help their End 68 Hours of Hunger Program. We also have helped deliver over 70 bags of food to pick-up sites in Dover to help their school children have lunches. We have bought to-go meals at local restaurants and brought them to seniors who are quarantined at home. This past weekend, we put a notice out to our town and notified them that if they are stuck at home, we would pick up their trash and bring it to the town dump. We’ve given large tips at drive throughs to thank the workers who continue to serve us. We have brought food and groceries to first responders and their families who continue to protect us daily. We heard from a family in Portland whose daughter turned one on Monday and they were unable to get her a cake or go out due to medical and financial concerns. We got a cake, a balloon, some gifts and a bunch of groceries to help this family as they are sheltered in their house on their daughters 1st birthday.

Today,  we officially started to offer free “Porchraits” where families can come onto their porches and we will stay far away and take a free picture! They can take a couple, a family picture, picture with family and pets, maybe a sign showing how they are surviving Covid-19!

Kids can share and see friends they are missing from school!

Message us on Facebook or our website, http://www.gofotoyourselfnewengland.com –  we will be scheduling days in different communities. You can then tag them to show friends and family you are ok and surviving Covid 19! Visit our Facebook site at http://www.facebook.com/gofotoyourselfnewengland – while your there, “Like” our site to see the latest news!

We have had wedding shows cancel as many cities are going to ban 250+ people from gathering at the same place at the same time. We have also heard from couples who have been told their venue may cancel their wedding.

The Go FOTO Yourself New England policy is that if an event is cancelled for any reason, we refund you everything except the $50 deposit. We work with those who have to change dates to offer the same deal if we are free, if not we refund their non-deposit fees.

Given the serious nature of this and the disappointment of some couples, we have decided that we will give full refunds if you have to cancel your wedding due to reasons around the Corona Virus. We feel so bad for those who have reached out to us about venues cancelling their weddings and we will do whatever we can to try to ease that pain a little, including full refunds minus the bank fee they charge us. We will waive any travel fees if we have to travel farther to get to you during this time as well.

We are committed for those events still going on to keep your guests safe. We have secured large amounts of hand sanitizer, lysol wipes, disinfectent spray and more to make sure we keep the props clean. We have had a few events since the Corina concerns and at each event, we have dedicated one person to wipe/spray each prop used after each use.

We are your partner in this and will work with you in anyway we can. We truly are sorry to those couples who are scrambling to find alternative plans.

If everyone did small acts of kindness during this scary time, can you imagine how much brighter our world would be!

Little Acts of Kindness to Make These Times Less Scary

We are photographers and own a Magic Mirror Photo Booth and have been deeply affected by the Covid-19 Coronavirus problem. Weddings, birthday parties, corporate events are cancelling or rescheduling. We have lost money and we have changed our refund policy to offer full refunds including deposits to help those who unfortunately had to cancel. It’s a small gesture in whats going on with the world today. We are fortunate, we can do that, some vendors aren’t able to and we also understand that.

Today’s post is more about doing something to help spread love. We decided to do a small good deed each day to help our communities that have made us so successful. We started out with buying $300 worth of food to donate to children in Dover and Somersworth for their End 68 Hours of Hunger Program. We then helped deliver 70 bags of food to drop off for kids who are out of school and didn’t have access to food because their schools were closed. We then brought hundreds of dollars worth of groceries to various families throughout Southern Maine and NH, one in Massachusetts. We asked and continue to ask people to send us messages of families struggling and if we can, we will help them. Last night we got a request for a family of 7 that had no food. We hoped in the car and went shopping, bringing them several hundred dollars worth of food. Today we have compiled a list of seniors in our community who needed someone to go get their groceries so they didn’t expose themselves in the stores. We have picked up and delivered their groceries to them. We get these names thanks to members of our community sending them to us. We even got a call from someone out of state who has elderly parents in our area and their mom was requesting a certain meal from a certain restaurant that they frequently went to. So we surprised them, picked up the meal and brought it to their door. They had no idea it was coming!

Random, small acts of kindness during this time will help make this less scary. We don’t do it for recognition, we do it to be better neighbors, friends and family.  We have a brand new vehicle that can be used for delivery, instead of letting it sit there, we offered it to groups to deliver meals to our most vulnerable kids and elderly. We have had events cancel, so we have free time so why not volunteer it.

Lets all do small acts of kindness to make this less scary. Please “like” our page and see some of the great things these small acts will result in. Send us a PM on the page with other ideas we can do or groups that may need help. As long as we can, we will be out there daily doing these acts of kindness.

February 2020 Community Non-Profit Partner is End 68 Hours of Hunger

The Go FOTO Yourself New England team is proud to announce our February 2020 Non-Profit Partner!

For the second February in a row, we partnered with End 68 Hours of Hunger (Somersworth and Dover Chapters). These amazing people confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school Monday.

Last year we were honored to provide a photo booth for their 4th Annual Mardi Gras fundraiser. We also were proud to present a check on behalf of our clients who booked with us last February.

This year, we will once again fully sponsor the photo booth and photography for the event and will make a donation on behalf of clients who book either photo booth and/or photography services with us.

We also encourage everyone to consider buying a ticket to this great event. We had so much fun there last year and they raised nearly $6,000 that night to help our local communities and children who are hungry.

Proud to partner with them again for 2020!
